The Quark
71Lyceum
The Foundation of Quarks is their location and mystery. In todays technological wonder our microscopes allows us to see electrons, but inside every electron we have found three distinct charges that we now call Quarks. Those charges are called Flavors in order to keep track of the difference between the generations, levels of excitement, their charge, and spin. The Quark theory helps us to further understand relativistic physics and properties of the quantum dimension.
Flavors
- The Flavors of Quarks are: up, down, charm, strange, top, bottom. These flavors represent the properties of the subparticles as their charges. Each Quark posses a charge of: 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, -1/3, -1/2, or -2/3 (in some rare cases -1,1, or 0). Each Quark Charge represents a Flavor:
- Up = 2/3
- Down = -1/3
- Charm = 2/3
- Strange = -1/3
- Top = 1/2
- Bottom = -2/3
- This Changes rapidly and the charges are only relative to how you examine each Quark or nucleoli, the charges I gave you are the standard charges for the Q generation.
Spin
- As with all subparticles we can calculate their spin, rotation, position, and abundance. But according to the heisenberg uncertainty principle we can never know all four at the same time. The Spin is calculate so that every nucleoli(protons, electrons, and neutrons) posses the charges from their quarks which now have spins based on frequency of the vibration of smaller subparticles, strings. The calculated spin on quarks and nucleoli are 1/2 and -1/2.
The Importance of Quarks
- The Importance of Quarks is that of calculating the charges of atoms, elements, and eventually understanding the quantum universe. Quarks bind together at a low temperature and low atmospheric pressure to create hadrons that are more stable triads of quarks bound together with gluons and mluons. In giant supercooled colliders such as the LHC, they are colliding hadrons together in order to find the smaller subparticles that are beneath the surface of quarks. The Facility of Antiproton and Ion Research will be the next big collider that will change our understanding of quantum mechanics.
Of Quarks and Strings
- Quarks have a charge but where does that charge come from? The answer is Strings! Strings are sub-quantum particles that vibrate a different frequencies. The change in frequencies is what varies the charge in Quarks. This also explains why we cannot easily predict the charge of quarks because of the unpredictably of Strings.
